I just saw this amazing movie last night: Perfume: The Story of a Murderer. It's not unlike Sweeney Todd, only minus the singing. And the movie was set in France, not England. But oh the whole artistic sense of it! The costumes! The acting! The choreography! Okay, I admit the movie is somewhat disturbing in some parts, and definitely not something you should watch with family members due to the -er- sensitive nature. But you just *have* to watch it. Meanwhile I found out that the UBD library has a copy of the English version of the novel the movie was based on, and I'm so borrowing that.

With that been said,

We had a steamboat brunch at TT's Blues Cafe(?), then watched Hancock (6/10) at The Mall. :3 We also went window shopping (mainly them), posed for crazy pictures (mainly me) and then went home (her dad's driver picked us up whooo). The people who came were mostly her friends from UK but it was alright. Naqib was there, at least. =p [For future reference, I must remember that Pchan tried to poison/threaten me with petai]

1. My new pendrive

Which I'm calling 'Supersonic', because of the little fishies on it. Wanted to call it Little Oasis, but it's too long and cluelesslyred thought it sounded like a lake. It's 2GB and it only costs BND$14!

2. Donnie Darko

I just bought the DVD and looooooooooooved the movie. I couldn't decide if this or The Butterfly Effect was better. I suppose Donnie wins on account of the soundtrack. TEARS FOR FEARS YO! :D I was like singing to Head Over Heels a~~nd thinking about AT. :P~~

3. Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace

The new The Offspring album! I know, I know, The Offspring? Aren't they like the typical teeny boppers, mall-rat, "cool kids", wannabe type of band? WELL FUCK YOU. I still think their music rocks. :D

I totally loled at the name. Srly "Eee" ffs. IT'S SOOOO SMALLLLL! It's practically half in size compared to the Asus M51SN I'm using now, like seriously. Takes time getting used to though because the keyboard feels a bit all crammed up.

OMG.

Whatever the critics said, it's one of the most beautifully combined(produced?) greatest hits EVER. I don't think I've ever been this in love with Morrissey before this. XD XD XD (Now I know why you're so into him, noncrapola_!)

ED WESTWICK A.K.A. CHUCK BASS sounds like PETE DOHERTY. Just got a couple of tunes by The Filthy Youth from cluelesslyred and they really could have passed off as The Libertines' or even The View's! XD XD XD Ah, ~British music~

The original plan was to have a fun brunch outing this morning; we meant to have a day trip to Kota Kinabalu just to eat at Fish & Co but had to cancel because my kid sister has tuition class today. So I spent the night asking suggestions for a place to go to. And just as what they say about the best laid plans (okay, it wasn't really all planned out), I ended up instead visiting my grandparents' graves with my parents. =D We went to my dad's side first in Kianggeh, then my mom's side in Pulaie. A quick lunch at Faize's, then home.

Read a few novels, then drove my sister to tuition. Went to The Mall right after to develop some pictures and did a bit of shopping. Went to my uncle's place to pick up the little nephews and nieces and um, to check if his gramophone is still working. Turns out it's a bit broken so we can't hear music properly off it. Meh. Dropped by at Adib's to deliver his present (dib: magazinenya aku punyaaaaa. in case kau wondering napa ada gam atu pasal the vinyl belakat arah the magazine cover). Then picked my sister up from tuition.

Suffice to say we don't ~always~ entertain kids at my place so I just let them play Grand Theft Auto IV. Bad idea, because at the end of their game (before we switched to Rock Band) one of them said "bastard" to me. UH! How am I supposed to explain to their parents about their ~improved vocabulary~?? Haha oh well. They probably learned it from school or TV anyways. Not to mention how one of my nephews displayed a rather disturbing violent side. Okay, so I attack strangers too, but at least I don't say, "This is my dad", then beat the hell out of that character. He also said, "This is my brother" and "This is my friend", and also the same treatment to those 'characters'. D: D: D: Rock Band was worse! See, it's really a bad idea to play the game with little kids unless they're used to the music or are okay with the guitar or drum playing. First it was a bit hard to choose a song because obviously they've never heard any of them before. So when they started singing they made fun of the words or whatever and even the drum playing really sucked so we never really got round to finishing any song. I dunno if that's their idea of fun but really it was just so annoying. And the fighting and the bickering was just UGGGH. My 4 year old niece was playing the drums (yea her feet couldn't really reach the foot thingy) and I dunno she just got annoyed about something so she hit her brother with the drumstick and then threw them across the room and then she just started crying. D: D: D: D:

I suppose their visit wasn't really that bad. I mean my sister bought some really nice pastries from BakerLyn or wherever, and we had spaghetti! The original plan was to have the kids get together to make cheese fondue but my sister couldn't get the materials. Then she just decided to make spaghetti, but then it somehow ended with the maid doing all the cooking anyway. While the boys were playing GTAIV, I had the girls play with the laptop (Feeding Frenzie!) and fooled around with LifeFrame.

Oh and I somehow managed to find one of my cats completely covered in.. something. I think she got in a fight and ran into/inside the drain, so you can imagine how dirty she was. This happened in the morning but I only found her at about 6pm so whatever sludge(?) it was, it was all dried up and "caked" to her fur, I suppose. Trying to clean her was really trying! She insisted that she didn't need the bath/shower so she ran from me like three times. I only managed to shampoo her body so her fur's all smooth there, but she ran again before I could take care of her legs. She wouldn't even let me dry her! =/ =/ =/

So yeah. What I did today.

Also FOR SOME VERY, VERY, VERY odd reason, Adobe Photoshop is MISSING from this laptop! :S :S :S I can't install it since I don't have the CD (the software came with the laptop) so I had to download GIMP instead (which, incidentally, is a bit confusing). Argh, seriously. Which is why I only managed to just crop and edit the colouring for this image of Noel. :(

OMG OMG OMG

My brother just downloaded Rock 'N' Roll Star on Rock Band. XD XD XD XD XD The version is slightly different- and I just checked the page, meh. It's only good for people who play the guitar, really. :/ If it were Liam, he'd probably just sit down on the stage and start drinking beer during the outro. Or tickle Noel.

So I went crazy today and decided to make some pop art. Yes, photoshopping instead of oh I don't know, studying??? I didn't realise my skills have gone rusty! I can't seem to remember how to do certain things- well thank God for online tutorials anyway.

In any case, I've transformed this image:

It's not much; there were some effects I thought I could add to the images, but I can't remember how to do them ha. But I suppose for a first time attempt, they're not too bad... AND I used the pen tool for the first time! Definitely better than the (polygonal) lasso tool :3 I suppose I should credit this site, even though I couldn't understand most of the steps and decided to just do it my way. :S I was hoping Liam's cigarette would seem more obvious, but I dunno how to do that too :/

I had a surprisingly FUN day today.

Apparently the key to having a day full of laughs are sex jokes. It's sad, but it's true.

Or maybe even a case of mistaken identity (gender-wise!).

Nevertheless I spent almost the whole afternoon after Logic laughing to the most inane, senseless things. :D While at the library too, "something" happened. It's cruel of me to say this, but there was some sort of 'drama' going on involving mean girls and heartfelt confessions and pretty much tears and snots. WELL THEY WERE IN THE FUCKIN' LIBRARY. It was a bit hard to NOT listen when your voice pretty much carries from one bloody end to the other. And I was sitting in the cubicle right behind your group! I won't divulge names and what it was about, but it was kind of difficult to not laugh about it, not for WHY they were crying because I sort of understood, I guess, but the whole ~DRAMA~ in the wrong place, seriously. Some of us who were trying to study (or sleep) had no choice but to just listen :\

But yeaaaah. I'm on a high today. XD XD
